David Chambers, 55, of Mason City, formerly of Charles City, died Saturday, September 25, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services for David Chambers will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Ruth Yeaton, of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
David Gene Chambers was born July 4, 1949, at Charles City, the son of Von and Gloria (Rice) Chambers. He graduated from the Charles City High School in 1967. On August 22, 1971, he was united in marriage to Diana Dee Lampman at the Little Brown Church.
Diana died on August 24, 1989. David worked at White Farm Equipment Company, John Deere, Druggist Mutual and Western-Southern Mutual. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, watching television and movies, going for rides and enjoying the outdoors on his deck.
Living family members include two children, Lisa (Shawn) Kettwig of Manly, and Matt Chambers of Mason City; three grandchildren, Nathan and Nicholas Kettwig and Dylan Chambers; his parents, Von and Gloria Chambers of Charles City; and two sisters, Becky (Pete) Johnston of Ionia, and Vicky (Dave) Rich of Algona.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
